Classes

Laura holds regular Therapeutic Yoga classes, Yoga-Sound integration classes and Breathwork classes with an inward focus of being.  These classes lead students into a deeper listening, connecting with their own body wisdom and healing.  Classes integrate stability (sthiram) and ease (sukham) through gentle and strengthening asana, deep relaxation in restorative postures, breath and energy work, guided meditation, and permission to be at witness.  They are held in a series or workshop style and include her popular YOGA FOR BACK CARE classes, the yoga-sound integration series Finding Voice, and Breathwork for Healing & Vitality workshop.

Embodying Love!

6 weeks of self-care, self-love and songs!

Join us in the fresh air, abundant birdsong, sunshine and shaded oak while we gaze across the sparkling water of Laguna Lake and tend to caring for and rejuvenating our bodies, hearts and souls! Each class will include a gentle yet invigorating yoga flow along with a love embodying meditation in the weekly themes of compassion, lovingkindness, joy/ pleasure, forgiveness, gratitude, peace, and close with heart opening circle songs! Let’s take advantage of the springtime energy opening us more fully to life, and love!

 

Gentle Therapeutic Yoga!

Wednesdays 10:30-11:30am
Sliding scale $12-25 ~ Laguna Lake Park in SLO

Gentle and therapeutic, yet energizing Yoga to get you on your day. This class will be in a similar style as my therapeutic classes and will have themes around nature, presence, and self-connection. Well suited for my Back Care folks and anyone else wishing to breathe and Be together outdoors doing Yoga! Classes will attempt to customize to the various needs of the participants present, to the extent able and within the weekly focus. Expect breath-based gentle movements, therapeutically strengthening asana, breath and energy work, guided meditation, restorative, yoga Nidra, a touch of Chi Gong, and deep relaxation with ample moments of Beingness. Classes will continue to remain drop-in though it is recommended to come regularly to receive maximum benefit

Bring a mat, possibly a tarp or towel to place mat on (grass can still be pretty dewy), and any props such as blankets, blocks, straps, to support your body in various positions. I can't wait to practice with you!

The YOGA FOR BACK CARE classes are designed for individuals with back concerns as well as great for those simply wishing to strengthen and nourish their spine and experience a class that is based in breath and core awareness.  Each of her two classes navigates through the gross and subtle body to find optimal back health

 

Finding voice

4 week series! 5/7 - 28

Tuesdays 9:30-11:30

This class will move through exploring the voice and its capacity to be embodied as vibration, energy, emotion and higher consciousness with the yogic tools of chanting, breathwork, movement and self-reflection as well as integrating Laura’s personal experiences singing in a band and studying classical and jazz singing.  Be one of the many people this class has helped connect with their inner and expressive voices!

Therapeutic Yoga for Lung Health

Complimentary class exploring supporting lung health in the physical and subtle body. Each week is a different focus. Focuses include: heart/ lung connection, diaphragm release and strengthening, lung/sinus drainage, sounding, grief and compassion.
